Angels Host Pittsburgh and Chicago (A.L.) for Seven-Game Homestand

‘70s Weekend highlights ninth homestand of the season

ANAHEIM, CA - The Angels return to Angel Stadium on August 12 for a seven-game homestand against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox. Below are some of the notable events and celebrations happening at Angel Stadium in the coming week.

DANIEL CORMIER FIRST PITCH

  • On Wednesday, August 14**th**, the honorary first pitch will be thrown out by UFC Fighter Daniel Cormier.

** 2019 NATIONAL CHAMPION UCLA SOFTBALL TEAM**

  • Rachel Garcia, the Most Outstanding Player of the 2019 Women’s College World Series, will throw out the honorary first pitch prior to the game on Thursday, August 15**th**.
  • Members of the 2019 National Champion UCLA Softball Team will host a meet and greet and sign autographs for one hour after first pitch. They’ll be located a Terrace Level, between sections 213 and 221 next to the Hall of Fame Team Store.

‘70s THROWBACK WEEKEND

  • Beginning on Friday, August 16th, Angel Stadium will get groovy to the max to celebrate ‘70s Throwback Weekend. Fans will be treated to far out fun, including ‘70s-themed in-game entertainment, giveaways and fireworks.
  • The Angels will wear ‘70s throwback uniforms on Friday and Saturday.
  • The first 30,000 fans in attendance to Friday night’s game will receive a Tie Dye Shirt, courtesy of Draft Kings.
  • Prior to the game on Friday, August 16th, Angels Alumni Clyde Wright will throw out an honorary first pitch.
  • On Saturday, August 17th, Angels Alumni Rod Carew will throw out an honorary first pitch
  • To conclude ‘70s weekend, fans will be treated to a post-game ‘70s-inspired Firework Show, sponsored by Wells Fargo

FAMILY SUNDAY

  • Family Sunday will conclude the homestand, with activities including games and face painting in the Gate 5 Courtyard, and kids ages 3-13 will have the opportunity to run the bases, postgame.
  • Prior to the last game against Chicago, Season Seat Holder kids will take the field with the Angels starters.
