Angels sign RHP Michael Lorenzen

ANAHEIM -- The Angels today have agreed to terms on a one-year, $6.75 million contract with RHP Michael Lorenzen.

Lorenzen, 29, has made 295 career pitching appearances (26 starts) across seven seasons with Cincinnati, going 23-23 with a 4.07 ERA (473.1 IP – 214 ER) with 14 saves and 406 strikeouts. Since 2019, he has pitched to a 3.69 ERA (148.2 IP – 61 ER) with 147 strikeouts in his 120 appearances (including postseason play). Additionally, he has appeared in 34 career games (96 innings) as an outfielder.

A native of Anaheim, Lorenzen attended Fullerton Union HS and Cal State Fullerton. He was selected by Cincinnati in the first round (38th overall) in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft and made his Major League debut with the Reds in 2015. 

The Angels 40-man roster now stands at 40 players.
