Astros finish off first half of regular season with six-game homestand against the Rockies and Mariners

Highlights of the homestand include Independence Day, Yordan Alvarez Bobblehead, Stranger Things Night and Princess Day

HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros return to Minute Maid Park for a six-game homestand to finish off the first half of the regular season, hosting the Colorado Rockies for two, July 4-5 and the Seattle Mariners for four, July 6-9.

Tuesday, July 4 – Astros vs. Colorado Rockies: 3:10 p.m. CT
*_The Astros open up the six-game homestand by hosting the *_Rockies
on Independence Day at 3:10 p.m. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet.

Every Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park is Dollar Dog Night, presented by Texas Chili Company. Fans are treated to all-you-can-eat hot dogs that are just $1 each Tuesday home game during the season.

The Astros will celebrate Independence Day with giant U.S.-shaped flag in the outfield, pregame ceremonies and special honorary first pitch. The McLemore Marine Corps League will present our nation’s colors, while the National Anthem will be sung by U.S. Navy Chaplain Stephen DeMik.

The First Call will come from U.S. Navy veteran Dennis Ashley, age 96, who served from 1944-1946 as a U.S. Navy Medical Corpsman, Petty Officer 3rd Class.

God Bless America will be sung in the middle of the seventh inning by Tracey Beeson, Petty Officer 2nd Class, U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Houston.

The Astros Foundation has partnered with Silver Eagle Houston, Budweiser and Bud Light to support the Folds of Honor Foundation this Independence Day. In a pregame ceremony, a $10,000 check to Folds of Honor to fund two $5,000 scholarships for local military members and their families will be presented. Folds of Honor Challenge Coins will be sold during the game at the Budweiser Brew House, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to Folds of Honor.

Mattress Mack will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the game on July 4.

Wednesday, July 5 – Astros vs. Colorado Rockies: 1:10 p.m. CT
The Astros finish off the two-game series against the Rockies at 1:10 p.m. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet and will also be available on ESPN+.

All fans will receive a Lance McCullers Jr. World Series Replica Ring, presented by LGI Homes.

Thursday, July 6 – Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros open up a four-game series against the Mariners on Thursday at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet.

All fans in attendance will receive a Yordan Alvarez ‘Bat Flip’ Bobblehead, presented by H-E-B.

Thursday’s game is Stranger Things Night at the ballpark. The game will feature unique Stranger Things in-game features throughout the game that will transport Hawkins, Indiana to Houston, Texas. The Astros will also honor and recognize legendary FOX 26 sports reporter Mark Berman in a pregame ceremony. Mark recently retired on June 12 after a 43-year career in news, 37 of those years covering the Astros and sports all around Houston with FOX 26.

Friday, July 7 – Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: 7:10 p.m. CT
Game two of the series against the Mariners is set for 7:10 p.m. on Friday. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet as AT&T’s “Players Night” themed game. Geoff Blum will be doing the play-by-play with Mike Stanton and Michael Bourn as the analysts. Clay Hensley will be the in-game reporter.

10,000 fans will receive a Mattress Mack Bobblehead, presented by Gallery Furniture.

Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips are set for postgame, featuring the musical theme of Hits from the ‘80s. Friday Night Fireworks are subject to weather. In the event a show must be cancelled due to weather, refunds will not be granted.

Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live D.J. and amazing views.

Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña will host the seventh Peña’s Pals of the 2023 season, this time honoring kids from Buna Independent School District. Pena’s Pals is a new program developed by Jeremy in partnership with the Astros Foundation. He wants to celebrate kids and their development in academics, character building and making healthy choices. During the 2023 season, Jeremy will choose a school/organization and pick five Peña Pals students based on character, grades and growth. Those five students will be treated to an Astros game courtesy of Peña, and will attend batting practice, receive special Peña’s Pals shirts and more.

Saturday, July 8 – Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: 6:15 p.m. CT
Game three of the series against the Mariners is set for 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The game will be nationally televised live exclusively on FOX.

10,000 fans will receive a Yordan Alvarez Throwback Jersey, presented by Veritex Community Bank.

The Astros will recognize the 2023 scholarship recipients of the Minute Maid Grand Slam for Youth Scholarship, both in an event at Champions Pavilion and then on the field in a pregame ceremony.

Sunday, July 9 – Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: 1:10 p.m. CT
The Astros will finish off the six-game homestand and the first half of the 2023 regular season against the Mariners at 1:10 p.m. CT on Sunday. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet and Sunday’s game will also be a Los Astros Spanish Broadcast on AT&T SportsNet presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors. The Los Astros broadcast will be available on the AT&T SportsNet alternate channel.

10,000 fans will receive a Plug-In Phone Fan, presented by Reliant.

Sunday is Princess Day at the ballpark. Fans are encouraged to come be a part of the magic of Princess Day by dressing up as their favorite Princess. The add-on package for Princess Day is sold out, but includes a princess photo frame, princess jewelry set, access to the Princess Party in the Union Station lobby and more.

Kid’s Run the Bases, presented by Olshan Foundation Solutions, will occur for all kids in attendance ages 5-12 after the game.

ASTROS TV BROADCASTS
Unless otherwise indicated because of a national broadcast, Astros local broadcasts are exclusively on AT&T SportsNet. Astros fans have plenty of options for viewing all locally available games for the 2023 season on AT&T SportsNet. The network will broadcast as many as 154 games with live pregame and postgame coverage. Returning to the broadcast booth this year will be Todd Kalas and Geoff Blum along with reporter Julia Morales. Astros regular season coverage on AT&T SportsNet begins on Friday, March 31st when the defending World Series Champion Astros take on the Chicago White Sox at Minute Maid Park for Championship ring day. Coverage begins off with a special hour- long pregame show starting at 6pm. All season long Astros coverage will include Astros Pregame Show and Postgame Shows with Kevin Eschenfelder returning as host. Joining Eschenfelder on a rotating basis for another season will be former major leaguers Mike Stanton, Brian Bogusevic, Clay Hensley and Michael Bourn.
