Astros look to clinch AL West title in last homestand of the season, starting tomorrow

HOUSTON, TX – The Astros return home tomorrow for an exciting final homestand of the regular season, as they look to earn their 100th win of the season and clinch the AL West Division Championship with a magic number of five! This homestand includes many promotions and events, including a Zack Greinke Replica White Jersey Giveaway (Sept. 17), a Michael Brantley Hitting Bobblehead (Sept. 18), and the annual Hispanic Heritage Weekend and Street Fest (Sept. 21-22). Tickets for the upcoming homestand are still available and start at only $9 for select games.

Group tickets and suite rentals are available for select games, and single game tickets are available for all games. TICKET AND GATE ENTRY POLICIES

As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site.

As a part of the Astros ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans and in compliance with Astros security policies and other sports and entertainment venues around the country, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in. Fans will also not be allowed to bring multi-zipper backpacks into the ballpark. Exceptions to this rule include diaper bags, single-compartment drawstring bags and other bags used for medical reasons. As usual, all bags will be searched prior to entry into the stadium.

In our continued effort to expedite entry and decrease the amount of time fans wait in line to get into the ballpark, the Astros have added a new entrance at Home Plate and increased the total amount of metal detectors at the entrances. Fans are still encouraged to arrive early, in order to avoid long lines and delays.

Tuesday, September 17 vs. Texas Rangers- 7:10 p.m.

ALL FANS attending Tuesday’s game will receive a Zack Greinke Replica White Jersey, presented by Gallery Furniture, as they enter the gates. In addition, the Astros Foundation in partnership with the non-profit organization Constituting America will be distributing pocket-sized copies of the United States Constitution in honor of Constitution Day to 15,000 fans, as they enter the gates. The last Dollar Dog Night of the season is Tuesday! Every Tuesday night home game is $1 Hot Dog Night presented by Nolan Ryan Beef! Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each, while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).

T-Shirt Tuesday, presented by DraftKings, also takes place every Tuesday home game. Fans have an opportunity to purchase a special ticket add-on for only $10 that includes an exclusive Astros designed t-shirt as a part of T-Shirt Tuesday. Like he has all season, Josh Reddick will host military families for a batting practice viewing and meet and greet in the Press Conference Room, before Tuesday’s game. This meet and greet will be after Astros batting practice and is open to the media.

Wednesday, September 18 vs. Texas Rangers 7:10 p.m.

WWE announced that the 2020 Royal Rumble will be held at Minute Maid Park January 26th! To help bring the good news to Houston, former wrestlers Matt Hardy and Booker T will be in attendance during Wednesday’s game and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Tickets for the Royal Rumble will go on sale to the public Friday, September 20 at astros.com/rumble.

The Astros will honor Alex Bregman as their 2019 Roberto Clemente Award nominee during a pregame ceremony prior to Wednesday’s contest. Bregman is one of 30 Club nominees eligible to win the league-wide Roberto Clemente Award. Fan voting and a special selection committee will determine the winner, who will be announced at the 2019 World Series. Fans can vote now until September 29 at mlb.com/clemente21.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Wednesday’s game.

Friday, September 20 vs. Los Angeles Angels 7:10 p.m.

Throughout the season, every Friday night home game at Minute Maid Park is part of the Big and Bright Friday Nights series. A special Pregame Happy Hour, presented by Budweiser, will take place at the Budweiser Brew House. Fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga, and more from the time gates open until 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game. Fans can also participate in the Friday Night Beer Crawl, presented by Budweiser, which includes four unique Minute Maid Park locations with a different beer options at each location. To cap off ** Big and Bright Friday Night**, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by ConocoPhillips. This Friday’s fireworks will be synced to Tejano themed music, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Upon conclusion of Friday’s game and prior to the start of Friday Night Fireworks, fans will be asked to move from the following sections for their safety and enjoyment: Home Run Alley, Escalator Tower Stairs in Center Field, Budweiser Brew House Tiers, Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar, Torchy’s Deck, Crawford Boxes and sections 100-109, 205-208, 305-309, and 405-409. FANtastic Fridays makes its return this year. Each week, fans can stop by a predetermined location and win prizes or tickets and interact with the Astros Shooting Stars and Shuttle Crew. Saturday, September 21 vs. Los Angeles Angels - 6:10 p.m.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Weekend, the Astros will wear their “Los Astros” jerseys all weekend. The Astros will also have a special pregame ceremony on Saturday celebrating the Hispanic heritage of several Astros players.

Prior to Saturday’s game, fans with A 9/21 game ticket are invited to come out early and enjoy the Hispanic Heritage Street Fest from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on the Plaza on Crawford St. The Street Fest will feature Latin food trucks, live music, games and more! Please note, a valid game ticket is required for entry into the Hispanic Street Fest. There will also be an option for fans to upgrade their game ticket all weekend to get an exclusive Hispanic Heritage jersey or hat. Alex Bregman will host the Little League World Series Champion team from River Ridge, Louisiana for Saturday’s game. The team will be available to the media during the Astros’ batting practice on Saturday.

Prior to Saturday’s game, the Astros Foundation will recognize the recipient of the Jamie Hildreth Scholarship. This scholarship is given annually to a student attending University of Houston for broadcasting.

During a pregame ceremony, the Astros will recognize the 2019 Astros minor league player and pitcher of the year, infielder Abraham Toro and right-handed pitcher Cristian Javier.

Sunday, September 22 vs. Los Angeles Angels- 1:10 p.m.

The Hispanic Heritage Street Fest fun continues on Sunday for fans with a 9/8 game ticket. From 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., the Street Fest will feature Latin food trucks, live music, games and more! Please note, a valid game ticket is required for entry into the Hispanic Street Fest.

The Astros Foundation will announce the recipients of the Astros Foundation Grant Program during a pregame ceremony on Sunday.

Following Sunday’s afternoon contest, young Astros fans 5-12 are invited to participate in Kids Run the Bases, presented by Securian Financial. The line for Kids Run the Bases will begin at Section 131/132 starting in the 8th inning.
