Astros return for six-game homestand, Sept. 6-12

Highlights of the homestand include Bobblehead giveaways, First Responders Appreciation Day

HOUSTON, TX – The Astros return from their West Coast road trip to begin a six-game homestand starting Monday, Sept. 6. They will host the Seattle Mariners for three games, Sept. 6-Sept. 8, before welcoming the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to Minute Maid Park, Sept. 10-12.

Highlights of the homestand include an Alex Bregman Bobblehead, presented by H-E-B on Sept. 6, a Lance McCullers Jr. Bobblehead on Sept. 10, presented by Impact Networking, the annual AT&T SportsNet Charity Game on Sept. 10 and First Responders Appreciation Night, presented by LyondellBasell on Sept. 11.

During the series vs. the Angels Sept. 6-8, the Astros will raise awareness for Childhood Cancer Month by hosting special pregame ceremonies, including first pitch and display childhood cancer awareness/MLB silhouetted batter ribbons throughout the park. Pregame and in-game activations will include local hospitals and pediatric cancer units that serve children and their families. Fundraising efforts on September 10 will include the annual AT&T SportsNet & Astros Foundation Charity Game, which is a full broadcast devoted to fundraising for childhood cancer efforts and nonprofit partners.

Monday, Sept. 6 vs. Seattle Mariners – 6:10 p.m. CT.

Game one of the series vs. the Mariners will take place on the Labor Day holiday is set for 6:10 p.m. CT. 10,000 fans will receive an Alex Bregman ‘Back2Back’ Bobblehead, presented by H-E-B.

Tuesday, Sept. 7 vs. Seattle Mariners – 7:10 p.m. CT

Game two of the series vs. the Mariners is set for 7:10 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Sept. 7. It is Dollar Dog Night, presented by Nolan Ryan Beef.

The Houston Astros, in partnership with Houston Methodist, will once again host free COVID-19 vaccinations at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 5-8 p.m. in the Union Station Lobby. No appointment is required and participants can get vaccinated with or without a ticket to that night’s game.

Everyone 12 years of age and older is eligible to receive a first- or second-dose Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine through a walk-up appointment at the event. No pre-registration is required. There is no cost for the vaccine and insurance is not required. Minors under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must sign a consent form on their behalf.

Participants will receive two free tickets to the game that evening vs. the Seattle Mariners or to one of the upcoming games vs. the Tampa Bay Rays (Sept. 28-30) or Oakland A’s (Oct. 1-3).

This will represent the fifth vaccination event the Astros have supported in efforts to help the community receive vaccinations easily and efficiently. The Astros have joined the “MLB Vaccinate At The Plate” program in which all 30 MLB clubs will host at least one event.

Wednesday, Sept. 8 vs. Seattle Mariners – 1:10 p.m. CT

The series with the Mariners wraps up on Wednesday, Sept. 8 with a 1:10 p.m. CT first pitch.

Friday, Sept. 10 vs. Los Angeles Angels – 7:10 p.m. CT

The Astros open up a three-game series against superstar Shohei Ohtani and the Angels on Friday at 7:10 p.m. CT. 10,000 fans will receive a Lance McCullers Jr. Pitching Bobblehead, presented by Impact Networking.

During every Friday Night home game at the Michelob Ultra Club, fans can enjoy the Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live DJ and amazing views from the Michelob Ultra Bar. The Astros Foundation and AT&T SportsNet will be hosting the fifth-annual Astros Foundation Charity Game and live broadcast at Minute Maid Park during Friday’s game vs. the Angels.  

In-stadium sales will begin when gates open at 5 p.m. CT in the Atrium near the Union Station Team Store/Sec. 105. Starting at 6 p.m. CT, bags containing autographed baseballs, tickets and more will be available for purchase over the phone and online. There are four different levels of bags that fans can purchase in stadium, online or over the phone to support. The Rookie for $100, VIP for $500, HOF for $750 and Cooperstown for $5,000. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Astros Foundation’s Childhood Cancer efforts, including B.I.G. Saturday, Sept. 11 vs. Los Angeles Angels – 6:10 p.m. CT

Game two of the series vs. the Angels is set for 6:10 p.m. CT. The Astros will recognize the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks with a special First Responders Appreciation Night, presented by LyondellBasell at Minute Maid Park. The Astros will honor those brave men and women who serve our great city, including a special pregame ceremony honoring our first responders. There is also an opportunity to add on a First Responders Hat with your game ticket. For just $15, pick up your branch’s branded Astros hat. Sunday, Sept. 12 vs. Los Angeles – 1:10 p.m. CT

The Astros will wrap up their six-game homestand and their three-game series with the Angels on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 1:10 p.m. CT. 10,000 fans will receive an Astros Crossbody Bag.
