Espada was named as the 20th manager in franchise history on November 13, 2023, replacing Dusty Baker, who announced his retirement from managing following the 2023 season. Espada, who is a native of Santurce, Puerto Rico, is the second Latino manager in Astros history, joining Cuban-born Preston Gomez, who managed Houston in 1974-75. This is the first Major League managing stint for Espada, who has several years of experience as a Major League coach, including the last six seasons (2018-23) as the Astros bench coach. In that span, the Astros have won three American League Pennants, a World Series championship and have advanced to the ALCS in all six seasons. Additionally, the Astros have played 90 postseason games since 2018, which is by far the most in the Majors in that span.

Ford enters his 12th season as the radio voice of the Astros. In their 11 seasons, the duo of Robert and Steve have called eight postseasons, including seven ALCS and four World Series. The 103 postseason games that they have called in that span are the most in the Majors. During the 2022 offseason, Robert was named the 2022 Texas Sportscaster of the Year.

Kalas enters his eighth season as the Astros lead play-by-play television broadcaster. Kalas, who is the son of Hall of Famer and former Astros broadcaster Harry Kalas, has over 30 seasons of experience as a broadcaster in professional baseball. Before joining the Astros, he spent 19 seasons (1998-2016) as part of the Tampa Bay Rays TV broadcast team. He also had stints with the New York Mets radio (1992-93) and Philadelphia Phillies television (1994-96) broadcast teams.
