The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have acquired RHP WILMER FONT from the NEW YORK METS in exchange for cash considerations. 

FONT, 29, has made 22 relief appearances for the Mets and Rays organizations this season, along with 3 starts in New York combining to go 2-2 with a 5.20 ERA. The La Guaira, Venezuela native started the 2019 season with the Tampa Bay Rays but was traded to the New York Mets on May 6. Over his five-year Major League career, the 6-4, 250 lb. right-handed pitcher has posted a 4-5 record with a 6.00 ERA in 96.0 innings of work.

The corresponding active roster move will be made when he reports to the Major League team.
