The Toronto Blue Jays have made the following roster moves:
- RHP Adam Cimber has been reinstated from the 15-day injured list (right rhomboid strain) and will be active for tonight’s game
- INF Ernie Clement has been selected to the Major League roster and will be active for tonight’s game
- RHP Thomas Hatch has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo
- INF Otto Lopez has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo
- RHP Mitch White has been transferred to the 60-day injured list
Clement, 27, has a .328 batting average with a .920 OPS while with Triple-A Buffalo this season. Across 35 contests for the Bisons, the 6-0, 170 lb. utilityman has played first base, second base, third base, shortstop, and left field. Clement appeared in 70 Major League games between the Cleveland Guardians and Oakland Athletics last season, batting .184 with four doubles and six RBI. Originally selected by Cleveland in the fourth round of the 2017 draft, the native of Rochester, NY, has suited up for 110 career big league games, hitting .204 with 11 extra-base hits and 15 RBI.
