February 4th, 2021

PHOENIX —The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks @LosDbacks) were inducted into the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Arizona Million Dollar Circle of Excellence for the seventh consecutive year. The honor recognizes companies leading the way in supplier diversity by spending more than $1 million annually with minority and women-owned businesses in Arizona.

“The topic of diversity has always been at the forefront of our organization and we are proud to be recognized for a seventh consecutive year by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,” said D-backs President & CEO Derrick Hall. “This important issue has continued to gain national attention over the past year, as it should, and we seek to lead the way in expanding opportunities in the game of baseball and throughout our state’s businesses.”

The Arizona Million Dollar Circle of Excellence was modeled after the globally-recognized Billion Dollar Roundtable. The AZ MDCE recognizes companies leading the way in supplier diversity by spending more than $1 million dollars annually (Tier 1) with Women- and Minority- owned (W/MBEs) vendors in our state. This year, more than 20 companies were audited and inducted into the 2020 Arizona Million Dollar Circle of Excellence, including the D-backs.

The AZ MDCE was created in collaboration with the Greater Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce, The American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona, Associated Minority Contractors of America, Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Arizona, Pacific Southwest Supplier Diversity Council, Asian Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Business Enterprise Council-West, and additional community partners.
