Dodgers activate Kristopher Negron, INF Max Muncy placed on 10-day IL

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers announced that they have activated infielder/outfielder Kristopher Negrón from the 10-day injured list and placed infielder Max Muncy on the 10-day injured list with a right wrist fracture, retroactive to August 29.

Negrón. 33, was placed on the injured list on August 20 with neck stiffness. Prior to the injury, he was batting .268 (11-for-41) with two homers and seven RBI in 15 games for the Dodgers. On the season, he has appeared in 25 games for the Mariners and Dodgers, hitting .250 (16-for-64) with two homers and eight RBI. He originally joined the Dodgers on July 28 from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for the minor league infielder Daniel Castro.

Muncy, 29, has appeared in 129 games for the Dodgers, batting .253 (112-for-442) with 33 homers and 87 RBI. The All-Star became the first Dodger to record back-to-back 30-homer seasons since Shawn Green (2001-2002). In two seasons with the Dodgers, he has amassed 68 homers and 168 RBI while slashing .258/.382/.552. In parts of four Major League seasons, he has hit .245 (258-for-1052) with 73 homers and 183 RBI.
