Dodgers recall catcher Austin Barnes, Sept. 6, 2019

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers announced that they have recalled catcher Austin Barnes from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Barnes, 29, was recalled for his third stint with the Dodgers. In 71 games with Los Angeles, he has hit .198 (41-for-207) with 11 doubles, five homers and 23 RBI. He finished the Triple-A season with the Oklahoma City Dodgers, playing in 23 games, batting .264 (23-for-87) with six homers and 17 RBI. In parts of five Major League seasons with the Dodgers, he has amassed 17 homers and 78 RBI with a .227 batting average.

The Dodgers’ active roster now stands at 32.
