LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Edwin Uceta from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned right-handed pitcher Mitch White to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Uceta, 23, returns for his fourth stint with the Dodgers and has appeared in seven games for the Dodgers this season, tossing 12.2 innings, allowing five earned runs on 11 hits with 13 strikeouts. In three games (two starts) for Oklahoma City, he is 0-2 with a 5.79 ERA (6 ER/9.1 IP) and 14 strikeouts. The Dominican Republic native has been with the Dodgers organization since signing as international free agent on July 2, 2016. In parts of six minor league seasons, he has posted a 20-14 record with a 3.78 ERA (143 ER/340.1 IP) and 376 strikeouts.
White, 26, has appeared in 12 games for the Dodgers this season, allowing six earned runs over 14.1 innings. He made an appearance last night, allowing one run in 0.2 innings with one strikeout. In parts of two Major League seasons, he is 1-0 with a 3.12 ERA (6 ER/17.1 IP) and 16 strikeouts. The Northern California native was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Santa Clara University.
