Dodgers recall Ricky Vanasco

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Ricky Vanasco from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned right-handed pitcher J.P Feyereisen.

Vanasco’s, 25, next appearance will be his Major League debut. He made four appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing one run in 4.0 innings with eight strikeouts. He has been in the minor leagues seven seasons, posting a 10-14 record with a 3.44 ERA with 287 strikeouts in 212 innings. He was acquired by trade from the Texas Rangers in exchange for left-handed pitcher Luis Valdez on June 1, 2023.

Feyereisen, 31, pitched last night, allowing three runs in 0.1 innings in the loss last night. On the season, he has allowed six runs in 1.1 innings while striking out one. He is in his fourth Major League season with stints with Milwaukee (2020-21), Tampa Bay (2021-22) and Los Angeles (2024) and he is a combined 8-5 with a 2.87 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 91.0 innings. He was originally drafted in the 16th round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
