Dodgers to host military heroes at Veterans Day event Monday

Gavin Lux, Joe Davis, Fernando Valenzuela, Ron Cey & more to appear at event presented by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health

LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers will play host to approximately 350 active duty service members of our nation’s U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, veterans and their families on Monday, November 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Dodger Stadium for a special Veterans Day event presented by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.

As part of the program, Dodger infielder Gavin Lux and broadcaster Joe Davis will hold a Q&A session and visit with military members from 12:30-2:00 p.m. during their lunch in the Lexus Dugout Club. In addition to hearing from Gavin Lux and Joe Davis, Dodger alumni Fernando Valenzuela, Ron Cey, Tommy Davis, Billy Ashley and Dennis Powell will be on-hand, while military members enjoy a rotation of activities including batting practice (on the field and in the batting cage), stadium tours and photo/autograph opportunities.

Monday, November 11

11:00 a.m.                              Welcome and introductions

11:20 a.m.                              National anthem performed by Donald Perry, a longtime employee at the LA Air Force Base

11:30 a.m.                             Lunch/Rotating stations (batting practice, tours, photos/autographs)

12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.         Gavin Lux and Joe Davis Q&A with military members in Lexus Dugout Club

This is a RSVP-only event and it has reached capacity.
