Free agent pitcher Carpenter disciplined

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that free agent pitcher David Carpenter has received a one-year suspension without pay following his violations of Minor League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension of Carpenter is effective immediately.
