Globe Life Park to host Texas UIL Football Class 6A Division I semifinal on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Southlake Carroll-Duncanville State Semifinal will be 50th high school game at Globe Life Park this year

Arlington, TX – Globe Life Park will host its 50th Texas high school football game of the season this coming Saturday in a Class 6A State Semifinal matchup of two iconic football programs.

Southlake Carroll (11-1) will play Duncanville (10-1) in a Class 6A Division I Semifinal at 3:00 p.m. on January 9, The winner of that game, in which Duncanville is the home team, will advance to the Class 6A Division I Championship Game the following week.

Advance tickets for Saturday’s game are available for purchase via on-line only at texasrangers.com/football. All tickets for this event are considered General Admission tickets. Upon arriving to Globe Life Park, open seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. In an effort to promote social distancing, every other row and select seats will be blocked.

The Carroll- Duncanville contest will be the 31st Texas UIL playoff game hosted at Globe Life Park since November with 23 Class 6A and 5A matchups taking place in the last four weeks. The facility also hosted 19 regular season games beginning in September as the 49 contests have attracted a total attendance of over 125,000 fans.

“We are proud of the fact the Globe Life Park has become one of the area’s top venues for high school football and that we are able to host fans in a safe environment with enhanced health protocols.”

In addition to high school football, Globe Life Park was also the home of the XFL’s Dallas Renegades for three games in February and March and hosted the Stephen F. Austin-Abilene Christian NCAA contest on October 24. The North Texas Soccer Club of USL League One played its eight home matches at Globe Life Park this summer.

The former home of the Texas Rangers was reconfigured to a multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility after the 2019 MLB season. Globe Life Park will also be the home of the Dallas Jackals of Major League Rugby beginning in 2021.

For Saturday’s game, parking will be available in Toyota Lot D, Avalon Lot E, Sequoia Lot L, Sienna Lot M, and Highlander Lot N. Parking will cost $15. Parking lots will open two hours prior to kickoff. Globe Life Park gates will open 1.5 hours prior to kickoff. Concession stands will be available for purchase of pre-packaged food only. All concessions will be cashless. All games at Globe Life Park require facial coverings, social distancing, as well as other enhanced safety and health measures. In an effort to enhance public safety, Globe Life Park will be enforcing a no bag policy. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items, including diaper bags, after proper inspection.
