loanDepot Park joins the fun of Miami Art Week, hosting Art, Beats + Lyrics Urban Art Showcase on December 4

November 30th, 2021

MIAMI – Miami Art Week is headed to the diamond with loanDepot park set to host Art, Beats + Lyrics at the ballpark’s West Plaza, exhibiting an entertaining night with music and art in a unique setting. Art, Beats + Lyrics (AB+L) is a traveling urban art and music exhibition founded by Cult Creative in 2004. AB+L started as a local art show in Atlanta and has grown to support visionary artists and musicians who values of authenticity, creativity, and individuality. Interested individuals are strongly encouraged to register here to claim their spot as space is limited.

Prior to Art, Beats + Lyrics, the Marlins will host an exclusive event at The Club: DEX Imaging, the premium space of loanDepot park. Taste of the Club, which offers a glimpse of the experience available to VIPs at every Marlins game, combines arts, glamour, and delicious bites in the setting of the hometown ballpark. Event attendees will also have guaranteed access to Art, Beats + Lyrics. To learn more, please contact [email protected] or call 305.480.2522.

This year’s Art, Beats + Lyrics showcase invites art and culture enthusiasts to come celebrate at its pop-up exhibits for its post-pandemic program. AB+L has been historically embedded in the community, specifically uniting and providing a national platform for upcoming and seasoned veterans from both the visual art and hip-hop sphere. The 2021 tour will exclusively toast to the program’s years of authentic artistry by visiting eight cities across the country, which include five first-time locations.

Additionally, guests will be able to check out Folklore, the art installation of the Miami Marlins revealed to fans earlier this year consisting of four shipping containers creatively stacked and painted that exudes the energetic vibe and culture of Miami. One of the containers is lined with neon lights that offer extraordinary backdrops that are perfect to share across social media and is the same setting used by Marlins players this past season.

“Art, Beats + Lyrics merges together two things that have the unique ability to connect people of all cultures, ages, and ethnicities -- music and art,” says Fabricia da Silva, Multicultural Marketing Manager, Brown-Forman. “And, after such an unpredictable year, we all deserve a celebration that highlights strength, inspiration, and that moves the culture forward. This is the very essence of Art, Beats + Lyrics, and we are thrilled to bring that celebration back this year.”

The 2021 AB+L tour stops include Miami, Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles, Cleveland, New York City, Philadelphia, and Detroit. Attendees will be invited to interact, celebrate, enjoy art from over 50 visual artists from across the country, and special musical performances from national recording artists.

“The 2021 exhibit won’t disappoint,” says Art, Beats + Lyrics curator Dwayne “Dubelyoo” Wright. “You can expect new, innovative installations with artists leveraging their creative talents to showcase not only the intersection between hip-hop music and visual art, but also using their craft to highlight activism, promote social justice and to capture history.”
