Marti Wronski named to Sports Business Journal Game Changers Class of 2023

One of 50 Women in Sports Business Recognized for Leadership, Vision and Innovation

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers announced today that Marti Wronski, Chief Operating Officer of the Club, has been named to the Sports Business Journal** Game Changers Class of 2023**. Wronski, one of 50 women honored and one of four representatives from across Major League Baseball, is part of the 13th annual class of Game Changers recognized for leadership, vision and innovation within the sports industry.
 
Wronski is a dynamic, strategic leader and business executive in the sports industry and Major League Baseball. Over her twenty-year career with the Milwaukee Brewers, Wronski has ascended from in-house counsel to the club’s senior executive team. Wronski was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2022, at the time the only female COO in Major League Baseball and among a select few with comparable positions in major professional sports.

As Chief Operating Officer, Wronski directly oversees the legal, information technology, human resources and business analytics teams. In addition, she is responsible for identifying and implementing operational processes and efficiencies required to continue to grow and evolve the Brewers brand. Wronski also continues to serve as the Club’s General Counsel. 
 
During her tenure with the Brewers, Wronski was named a “Woman of Influence” by the Milwaukee Business Journal, was named to the Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list, and as a “Top Corporate Counsel” member. Wronski also received an honorary PhD from St. Norbert College and the Joseph E. O’Neill Award from Marquette University Law School, which is given to an individual in the sports industry who has made a significant contribution to the field while exemplifying the highest ethical standards. Wronski has served on several community boards in the Milwaukee area, including Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, and is a close friend of Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
 
Sports Business Journal will profile members of the 13th class of Game Changers in a special section on Sept. 25. They will be recognized at the conclusion of the daylong Game Changers Conference on Oct. 24 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.
