MIAMI – The Miami Marlins are joining Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation to equip our local All-Star students for the new school year by providing school supplies to more than 10,000 students across Miami-Dade County and Palm Beach County elementary schools. With the support of proud partners PNC Bank and HairClub, the Marlins will host numerous distributions across Miami-Dade County and Palm Beach County.
“We are excited to head out across South Florida to set up our community’s future leaders for success during the upcoming school year,” said Sarah Martin, Miami Marlins Foundation Programs Senior Director. “Thanks to the support from Kiwanis of Little Havana as well as the contributions from our proud partners Hair Club and PNC Bank, we are able to make an incredible impact and provide more than 10,000 students with the tools they need to succeed.”
The Marlins will host eight distributions throughout the month, beginning in Palm Beach County on Monday, August 14 at Jupiter Elementary, with the support of HairClub. The distributions conclude on Friday, August 25 in Miami-Dade County at Kensington Park Elementary with the support of PNC Bank.
Volunteers from the Marlins organization and Kiwanis of Little Havana are joining forces for the 12th year to lend a helping hand at the various distributions. All the students at each school will receive supplies including pencils, notebooks, folders, safety scissors, glue sticks, crayons, rulers, markers, composition books, and paper.
