MLB Foodfest presented by Budweiser returns to New York Sept. 21-22 with one unique food item from each MLB ballpark

Special Event Features New Interactive Elements Including Home Run Derby Virtual Reality

August 22nd, 2019

The most savory event in sports returns to New York City when MLB FoodFest presented by Budweiser opens its doors September 21 on Fifth Avenue near Bryant Park. After selling out its tasteful debut in 48 hours last spring, the second East Coast installment will give eaters a refreshed smorgasbord of 30 different recipes from around North America.

As with the 2018 edition and the Los Angeles installment earlier this year, all 30 Major League Clubs designated one concession item to represent their team and community at this distinctive baseball-themed food festival. Most of the menu features concoctions brand new to the New York event, including the local ballpark representatives with the Mets Bases Loaded Dog and the Yankees Shrimp Po’Boy, while returning bites from the inaugural MLB FoodFest are four fan favorites: the Mariners Toasted Grasshoppers, Pittsburgh’s Pulled Pork Pierogie Hoagie, Hot Lobster Rolls from Boston and for dessert, the D-backs Churro Dogs. The complete menu is attached to this email and can be seen at MLB.com/FoodFest.

Tickets for MLB FoodFest in New York are available now at MLB.com/FoodFest. The special event is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day, with two-hour windows available to attend. Each ticket grants access to the space for a designated two-hour block and can only be secured online prior to arrival at the venue. Anyone purchasing and using a ticket that includes alcohol must be 21 years of age or older. Please drink responsibly.

Fans have two different ticket options for MLB FoodFest in NY:

  • Food Ticket: 30 different food items ($35)
  • Food & Beer Ticket (must be 21 or older): 30 different food items + 3 beers ($50)

Each ticket includes scaled-down portions of the unique dishes that fans find in ballparks across North America, as well as complimentary Coca-Cola beverages.

In addition to dining on the 30 ballpark items, attendees also have access to new interactive elements, such as Home Run Derby Virtual Reality. The experience developed by the MLB Games and VR team allows fans to wear a VR headset and swing for the virtual fences with a proprietary VR bat controller to bring the unique feel of a real bat into their hands. Another new experience at MLB FoodFest in New York is an MLB FoodFest merchandise shop which will feature officially licensed, limited edition caps, shirts and collectibles on-site.

Additionally, Budweiser, the presenting sponsor of MLB FoodFest, will have a Brewmaster and custom beer bar on-site for attendees 21 years of age or older. Anheuser-Busch will again provide a recommended beer pairing for each of the 30 ballpark items and for interested fans of age, the Brewmaster can describe the brewing process and introduce the new Budweiser Innovation Copper Lager, a rich lager aged on Jim Beam bourbon barrel staves with hints of Vanilla and caramel rye followed by a deliciously smooth finish.
