Only at Target Field: Twins ready to host 20 games in August, Minnesota's most in a single month in 45 years

Tickets start at $9, with additional ticket specials, giveaways, theme nights and special events scheduled throughout August

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The first-place Minnesota Twins’ pursuit of an American League Central division title will have a distinct home flavor with 20 games at Target Field in August – the club’s most home contests in a single month since playing a Minnesota-era record 22 at Metropolitan Stadium in June 1977. Tickets start at $9 for designated games, with additional daily ticket specials available for every game. The Twins also have gate giveaways planned for 10 contests, along with 11 theme nights and multiple special events – all “Only at Target Field.”

August Opponents

Beginning next Monday, August 1, the Twins will host the Detroit Tigers (3 games, August 1-3), Toronto Blue Jays (4 games, August 4-7), Kansas City Royals (3 games, August 15-17), Texas Rangers (4 games, August 19-22), San Francisco Giants (3 games, August 26-28) and Boston Red Sox (3 games, August 29-31). The series vs. San Francisco marks the Giants’ first-ever trip to Target Field, while the Blue Jays, Rangers and Red Sox are making their only scheduled visits of the season.

August Tickets Available

Tickets for all 20 Twins home games in August are available for purchase now via twinsbaseball.com, by calling 612-33-TWINS or 1-800-33-TWINS, or in-person at the Target Field Ticket Office.

Beginning tomorrow (Friday, July 29), the Twins are releasing 2,000 new “Ballpark Access” tickets for each of the club’s remaining 32 regular season home games (August and September), starting as low as $9 per ticket for designated games. Fans with a “Ballpark Access” ticket can watch the game from any of Target Field’s wide variety of outdoor and indoor social spaces, from behind home plate to centerfield, from foul pole to foul pole and on all levels of the ballpark.

Fans can also find their ticket to savings with the following eight daily ticket specials:

  • CUB Family Section with media partner Bally Sports North (All 20 games): Tickets in the alcohol-free family section include a FREE hot dog and Pepsi, courtesy of CUB and media partner Bally Sports North.
  • “Four Pack” presented by U.S. Bank (Monday-Thursday games): U.S. Bank provides fans with all the items needed for game day – a U.S. Bank Home Run Porch View or Field Box ticket, along with a hot dog, Pepsi and chips.
  • Student Discount (Monday-Thursday games): The Twins’ popular student discount – $5 for any student – is available via mobile delivery; plus, students can download a free Metro Transit ride pass.
  • Military Discount presented by Jack Daniel’s and Bally Sports North (Monday-Thursday games): Active military members or veterans with a valid ID, plus up to three guests, receive half-price Diamond Box High or Home Plate View tickets.   • Treasure Island Resort & Casino Senior Days (Weekday day games): Thanks to Treasure Island Resort & Casino, fans 55 and better receive a $5 discount on Field Box, Treasure Island Cove and Left Field Bleacher tickets.
  • Dollar-a-Dog Days (Tuesday games): Fans can enjoy hot dogs for just $1 apiece at the Hennepin Grille and Taste of Twins Territory concession stands.

August Special Events

From Target Field’s first-ever postgame concert to a pair of Hall of Fame celebrations; from community recognitions to a “Gaming Dugout” and the last month of Friday fireworks shows, August features a variety of special events at the ballpark.

  • Cole Swindell Postgame Concert (Thursday, Aug. 4 vs. TOR): The Twins and media partner 102.9 The Wolf will welcome GRAMMY-nominated, Multi-Platinum country superstar Cole Swindell for Target Field’s first-ever postgame concert, a full 75-minute set following the conclusion of the Twins vs. Blue Jays game on Thursday, August 4. Admission to the concert is free with a ticket to that night’s 6:40 p.m. game; tickets – including a package featuring an exclusive, co-branded Cole Swindell/Twins cap – are available at twinsbaseball.com/concerts.
  • Welcome Back from Cooperstown (Saturday, Aug. 6 vs. TOR): Fans are invited to celebrate two members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2022 – Twins legends Jim Kaat and Tony Oliva – on Saturday, Aug. 6 during the club’s “Welcome Back from Cooperstown” festivities presented by Coordinated Business Systems.
  • Twins Hall of Fame Weekend (Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 20-21 vs. TEX): The Twins and their fans will honor franchise icons Ron Gardenhire, Dan Gladden and the late César Tovar during Twins Hall of Fame Weekend presented by Coordinated Business Systems. Gardenhire will be inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 20, followed by Gladden and Tovar on Sunday, Aug. 21.

  • Twins Gaming Dugout: The Twins are partnering with Wisdom Gaming to host the “Twins Gaming Dugout” in Town Ball Tavern from August 15-31 (13 games). Open to all fans with a ticket to that day’s game, from the time gates open to the conclusion of the contest, this pop-up gaming lounge will include 10 stations featuring titles including “MLB The Show 22,” “Minecraft,” “Rocket League” and more.
  • Friday Night Fireworks: The summer-long Friday Night Fireworks series presented by Securian Financial will wrap up with shows following the games on August 5 (vs. TOR), August 19 (vs. TEX) and August 26 (vs. SF).
