SAN DIEGO – On behalf of the Gwynn Foundation, the San Diego Padres announced today a viewing event featuring the “Hall of Family” documentary hosted by family members of the late Major League Baseball Hall of Famer and Padres great, Tony Gwynn, on Thursday, September 8, at 6:00 p.m. in Gallagher Square at Petco Park. Tickets for the viewing event are available now for $19 for adults and $10 for kids 14 and under at www.padres.com/events, with all net proceeds benefiting the Tony Gwynn Legacy Foundation.
Produced by his wife, Dr. Alicia Gwynn, the documentary pays tribute to the life and legacy of Tony while highlighting special Gwynn family memories. Guests who purchase tickets for the viewing event will receive an email with a link to download a song performed by Tony’s wife, R&B/pop singer Alicia Gwynn, and a chance to win the ultimate Tony Gwynn Day 2023 Family Sweepstakes.
The East Village Gate will open for entry at 5:30 p.m. with select concessions and merchandise available for purchase. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a welcome program hosted by Padres Hall of Famer Ted Leitner, followed by a short panel and Q&A featuring Alicia, daughter Anisha Gwynn-Jones and son, former MLB player and current Padres broadcaster, Tony Gwynn Jr., before the documentary begins at 6:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and enjoy the documentary from the lawn in Gallagher Square.
