Padres announce non-roster invites to Major League Spring Training

Pitchers & catchers scheduled to report February 17; first full squad workout on February 22

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres announced today they have extended Major League Spring Training invitations to 33 players. Among those 33 players are 10 minor league free agents that will be new to the organization, including infielders Pedro Florimón, Gosuke Katoh and Nick Tanielu, right-handers Nick Burdi, Nabil Crismatt, Parker Markel, Aaron Northcraft and Jacob Rhame and left-handers Nick Ramirez and James Reeves. Right-handers Pedro Avila, Miguel Diaz and Chase Johnson, left-handers Daniel Camarena and Brady Feigl, infielder Ivan Castillo and catcher Webster Rivas also return to the Padres organization in 2021 on minor league contracts.

The list of non-roster invitees includes 15 right-handed pitchers, eight left-handers, two catchers, six infielders and two outfielders. Of the invitees, 10 have Major League experience. Additionally, 16 of the 33 were originally signed or drafted by San Diego. Below is a complete list of non-roster players who will be in Padres camp, and attached is a full roster of all 73 players who will attend 2021 Major League Spring Training with the Padres.
