Padres announce Orange Tier updates at Petco Park

April 13th, 2021

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – Following San Diego County’s move to the Orange Tier of California’s coronavirus color-coded reopening system, the Padres have updated their capacity limits and health and safety protocols at Petco Park for the homestand beginning on Friday, April 16th. Please see below for notable changes:

CAPACITY:

  • Total capacity has increased to 33%.
  • This total includes the sum of the main seating bowl, suites, and standing room only areas that have been converted into fixed seating areas (Gallagher Square, Western Metal Supply Building, etc).
  • Vaccinated/negative test sections:
  • Select sections in Petco Park will be available at 67% capacity for fans who have been fully vaccinated, or who have received a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of the first game they plan to attend during the homestand.
  • Upon entry, fans 13 years and older in these sections must be prepared to show proof of either of the following:
  • Vaccination Proof
  • Paper or digital copy of CDC-issued Vaccination Card and a photo ID.
  • Full vaccination is defined as completion of the two-dose regimen of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of Johnson & Johnson administered two weeks or more in advance of the game to be attended.
  • Negative COVID-19 Testing Proof
  • Paper or digital copy of negative test with photo ID.
  • Visit here to find free testing sites in San Diego County.
  • The Padres will also, in partnership with Quidel (the official diagnostic partner of the Padres), provide the opportunity for ticketed fans to receive advance COVID-19 testing at Petco Park for a nominal fee. Ticketed fans can book a testing appointment through their Padres account manager portal.
  • Masks must continue to be worn by all fans two years and older at all times inside Petco Park unless actively eating or drinking.
  • Attendance remains limited to California residents only.
