The Phillies have invited three additional players to attend major league spring training as non-roster invitees:
Jack Conley, C – Conley, 26, split the 2022 season between double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley. He played in 79 games between the two levels, batting .232 with a .333 on-base percentage, 10 doubles, six home runs and 32 RBI. Conley was selected by the Phillies in the 27th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of North Carolina State University.
Aramis Garcia, C – Garcia, signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent, played the majority of the 2022 season with the Cincinnati Reds. The 30-year-old appeared in 41 games (34 starts) at catcher and another five at first base and designated hitter. He threw out six of 24 attempted base stealers. Garcia, who was originally selected by the San Francisco Giants in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft, has spent parts of four seasons in the majors with the Giants (2018-19), Oakland Athletics (2021) and Reds (2022).
Cody Roberts, C – The 26-year-old Roberts spent last season in the Baltimore Orioles organization with double-A Bowie and triple-A Norfolk. He slashed .271/.348/.429 with 18 doubles, eight home runs, 42 RBI and 35 runs scored in 80 games. Originally an 11th-round selection by Baltimore in the 2018 MLB Draft, Roberts was selected by the Phillies in the minor league phase of the 2022 Rule 5 Draft.
With the additions of Conley, Garcia and Roberts, the Phillies now have 24 non-roster invitees attending major league spring training.
