Pirates Return to PNC Park for the Fifth Homestand of 2021

The Pirates return to PNC Park for the fifth homestand of the season that includes a four-game series with the Miami Marlins and a three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This homestand is highlighted by several firsts for the 2021 season with the first Dollar Dog Night, presented by Sugardale; the first Free Shirt Friday with a special Pirates tee courtesy of Mrs. T’s Pierogies; and Teacher Appreciation Week.

Thursday, June 3, 2021 – Pirates vs. Miami Marlins (7:05 p.m.)

Dollar Dog Night: As a special thank you to the fans, the Pirates will host Dollar Dog Nights, presented by Sugardale, on all Thursday night home games for the remainder of the season. During each Dollar Dog Night, fans can visit any North Shore concession stand throughout the ballpark and purchase regular hot dogs for just one dollar.

Beer Passport: Beer Passport ticket holders ages 21 and older are invited to a 90-minute beer sampling event that begins when gates open at 5:30 p.m. For more information and to order tickets, visit pirates.com/beerpassport.

Lou Gehrig Day: Tonight, the Pirates and Marlins will observe Lou Gehrig Day, an opportunity to raise awareness around ALS. On the field, both teams will wear commemorative jersey decals and red wristbands, and special base jewels will adorn the bases. In addition, Pirates Charities will take part in a special pregame on-field ceremony to surprise an ALS patient with a customized black & gold wheelchair, in partnership with the LiveLikeLou Foundation, the ALS Foundation of Western PA, Permobil and the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.

Friday, June 4, 2021 – Pirates vs. Miami Marlins (7:05 p.m.)

Book Distribution: Today, the Pirates will join PNC for a special book distribution event at Chartiers Early Childhood Center from 10-11 a.m. The event will include a visit from the Pirate Parrot who will distribute co- branded USA Baseball and PNC books.

Free Shirt Friday: Tonight, the Pirates host the first of the popular Free Shirt Friday as the first 20,000 fans, with paid admission, will receive a Pirates tee, presented by Mrs. T’s Pierogies.

National Gun Violence Awareness Day: Tonight, the Pirates and Marlins will observe National Gun Violence Awareness Day, a chance to honor the victims of gun violence and to show support for the gun safety movement. The Pirates will light PNC Park’s scoreboards orange both before and after the game in solidarity for the victims of gun violence. For more information visit, wearorange.org.

Saturday, June 5, 2021 – Pirates vs. Miami Marlins (4:05 p.m.)

Tote Bag: Today, the first 20,000 fans, with paid admission, will receive a Pirates Tote Bag, presented by MLB Network.

Welcome to the Burgh: Pittsburgh Steelers first round draft selection, Najee Harris, will join the Pirates today to toss out a ceremonial first pitch and enjoy the game from a luxury suite at PNC Park.

Tuesday, June 8, 2021 – Pirates vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (7:05 p.m.)

Pup Night: Tonight, fans and their pups will enjoy Bucco baseball on the Miller Lite Rooftop as the Pirates present Pup Night at PNC Park. Each ticket package (2 person & up to 2 dogs) costs just $60. Due to continued COVID restrictions, seats are still very limited and subject to availability.

Teacher Appreciation Week: The Pirates, in partnership with Intermediate Unit One, distributed a total of 3,000 complimentary tickets to preselected area teachers as a thank you for their hard work and dedication. Throughout the week, all teachers are able to take advantage of a special ticket discount for Tuesday, June 8 through

Wednesday, June 9, 2021 – Pirates vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (7:05 p.m.)

Military Wednesday: Tonight, the Pirates will wear their Military Wednesday camouflage uniforms in honor of our active and veteran military members. On select Wednesdays throughout the season, the Club will honor and support a local non-profit that assists military members, veterans and their families. Members of each group will be guests of the Pirates in the Pirates Charities Suite, where they will be presented with a check from Pirates Charities in support of the non-profit’s mission.

o Military Non-profit of the Game: Today, the Pirates will support the Erie VA Medical Center as the military nonprofit of the game. The Erie VA Medical Center is recognized as a top-performing medical center in the delivery of high-quality health care. They have the honor and privilege to serve more than 23,000 Veterans in a nine-county area within northwestern Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, and southwestern New York. During the game, Pirates Charities will present the group with a $5,000 donation to further their work in our community.

Thursday, June 10, 2021 – Pirates vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (12:35 p.m.)

Lunch with the Bucs: Spend your lunch at PNC Park cheering on the Buccos. Tickets are just $30, located in the Lower Level and include $15 in loaded value to be used at concession stands throughout the ballpark. For more information, visit pirates.com/lunch.
