The Pittsburgh Pirates today placed right-handed pitcher Dauri Moreta on the 15-day injured list with low back inflammation.
Right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. Jackson was acquired by the Pirates from the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 25 for cash considerations and assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis, where he made five appearances (three starts) while recording a 3.38 ERA.
The 27-year-old righthander was a member of Los Angeles’ Opening Day roster, where he went 0-0 with two saves, a 6.62 ERA (17.2ip/13er) and 16 strikeouts in seven appearances. He also went 1-1 with a 5.86 ERA (27.2ip/18er) and 31 strikeouts in 11 appearances (one start) with Triple-A Oklahoma City this season.
Jackson, who made his big league debut in 2021 with the Dodgers, will wear uniform No. 44.
Left-handed pitcher Bailey Falter, who was acquired from Philadelphia on Tuesday, has been added to the Major League taxi squad. He will wear uniform No. 44.
