Game times announced for Texas Rangers 2020 Spring Training schedule

Rangers and Royals will play Surprise Sundancers charity game to open Cactus League schedule on Friday, February 21

Arlington, TX - The Texas Rangers today announced the game times for the team’s 2020 spring training schedule, which was originally released in August.

In addition, the Rangers and Kansas City Royals, who share the spring training complex with Texas, have added a game to open the 2020 Cactus League schedule on Friday, February 21 at 1:05 p.m. MT at Surprise Stadium. The Royals will be the home team, and it will be the annual Surprise Sundancers Charity Game.

With the addition to the schedule, the Rangers are scheduled to play 33 spring training games in 2020, including 31 Cactus League contests. The Rangers will play a pair of exhibition games to conclude the spring training schedule at the new Globe Life Field, beginning with a matchup with the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday, March 23 at 7:05 p.m. CT. The game on Tuesday, March 24 at 1:05 p.m. CT will feature the Major League Rangers against their minor leaguers with the exact details to be announced. Ticket information will be announced at a later date for those games.

Texas’ 31-game Arizona schedule now features 17 contests at Surprise Stadium/Billy Parker Field. The Rangers will be the home team for 15 of those games and will be the visiting club for two contests against the Royals. Those two teams are now scheduled to play four times overall in Surprise in 2020, the opener on Friday, February 21 at 1:05 p.m. MT (Royals home game), Tuesday, February 25 at 1:05 p.m. MT and Friday, March 13 at 6:05 p.m. MT (both Rangers home game), and the Cactus League finale on Saturday, March 21 at 12:05 p.m. MT (Royals home game).

All other Rangers’ home games at Surprise Stadium will start at 1:05 p.m. MT except for Monday, March 9 vs. Oakland (6:05 p.m. MT).

2020 individual ticket prices for Texas Rangers games at Surprise Stadium: Lower Premium--$35.00; Lower Dugout--$33.00; Upper Dugout--$30.00; Infield--$25.00; Plaza--$20.00; and Lawn--$8.00. Prices will increase for select premium games, and dynamic pricing applies to all games. Full season, half season, 7-game, and 5-game ticket packages are also available as well as group ticket packages. Parking is free to all games at Surprise Stadium.

Online ticket sales open Saturday, October 19 for season tickets, mini plans, and specialty ticket packages and will be available for purchase at SurpriseSpringTraining.com. Online sales for individual game tickets begin Saturday, November 16 and will be available at texasrangers.com.
