Eovaldi, 36, missed Texas' last 31 games while on the 15-day Injured List with right posterior elbow inflammation.  He did not complete a rehab assignment prior to activation.  In 22 starts this season, the right-hander has gone 10-9 with a 4.21 ERA (62 ER/132.2 IP), 137 strikeouts, and 22 walks, ranking among club leaders in wins (T1st), strikeouts (3rd), innings (4th), and starts (4th).  His most recent Major League action came in a start on August 7 vs. Baltimore (ND, 5.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R-ER, 2 BB, 2 SO, 86 pitches/56 strikes) – an eventual 2-1 Texas victory.  Eovaldi is in his fourth season with the Rangers (2023-26), compiling a 45-25 record, 3.38 ERA, and 1.08 WHIP in 98 games/starts, with his 45 wins in that span ranking tied for 3rd among A.L. hurlers (50-Framber Valdez, 46-George Kirby, 45-Eovaldi/Tarik Skubal).

Jung, 28, missed TEX's last 47 games while on the Injured List with a left calf strain.  He appeared in 4 games on injury rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock, Tuesday-Friday, going 3-for-15 with one home run, one double, and 2 RBI.  He made a pair of starts at third base, totaling 12.0 total innings and 3 errorless chances, including one double play.  Jung has batted .294 with an .802 OPS in 92 games for Texas this season, ranking among club leaders in multi-hit games (2nd, 32), doubles (3rd, 23), and hits (4th, 104).

The 25-year-old Macko posted an 8.10 ERA (6 ER/6.2 IP) across 7 relief appearances for Texas after being recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on August 28 for his first career stint on the Rangers' active roster.  The southpaw has totaled 29 appearances/one start in 2026, making his MLB debut for Toronto on May 18 at New York-AL.  The Rangers acquired Macko in a trade with the Blue Jays on August 3, in exchange for infielder Josh Smith.

The 26-year-old O'Hoppe went 6-for-17 in 10 games/6 starts (all at DH) for Texas after being recalled from Round Rock on August 23.  He most recently appeared last night, entering as a defensive replacement at catcher – his first appearance as a backstop with Texas.  O'Hoppe was acquired via trade from Los Angeles-AL on August 1, along with right-handed pitcher Chase Silseth, in exchange for minor league infielder Angel Arredondo.

With today’s transactions, the Rangers remain at the 40-man limit on the club’s Major League roster, along with five players on the 60-day Injured List (RHP’s Carter Baumler, Jose Corniell, and Jack Leiter, LHP Jalen Beeks, and INF/OF Michael Helman).
