Arlington, Texas—The Texas Rangers have finalized the roster for its 2021 Instructional League team that will play four games against NCAA Division I universities in Texas next week..
Texas’ Instructional League program in Surprise, Arizona began workouts on September 27 and is currently playing a 17-game schedule against IL teams from the Dodgers, Guardians, Padres, Reds, Royals, and White Sox organizations that concludes this Friday, October 22.
The Instructional League team roster traveling to Texas consists of 43 players, including 11 selections from the 2021 Major League Draft. Kenny Holmberg and Carlos Cardoza, who managed Triple-A West Round Rock and Low-A East Down East, respectively in 2021, will oversee the Instructional League’s games in Texas.
