Red Sox sign 11 additional 2021 Draft picks

BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox have signed 11 additional players selected in the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft: right-handed pitchers Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz (4th round), Wyatt Olds (7th round), Hunter Dobbins (8th round), Matt Litwicki (10th round), Christopher Troye (12th round), Jacob Webb (14th round), and Tyler Uberstine (19th round); utility player Daniel McElveny (6th round); third baseman Tyler Miller (9th round); second baseman BJ Vela (16th round); and outfielder Phillip Sikes (18th round).

In addition, the Red Sox have signed outfielder Kier Meredith out of Clemson University and right-handed pitcher Jhonny Felix out of Western Oklahoma State College. Felix was born in the Dominican Republic but attended Brighton (MA) High School.

Director of Amateur Scouting Paul Toboni made the announcement.

In all, 13 of the 20 players selected by Boston in the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft have been signed to contracts.

All signees will report to Fort Myers, FL.
