Reggie Bush to throw out first pitch on Friday
LOS ANGELES – Former NFL and University of Southern California running back Reggie Bush is slated to throw out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers game against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday, May 17 at 7:10 p.m.
On April 24, the Heisman Trust announced that it would return Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy, citing "enormous changes in the college football landscape” after he was required to forfeit it in 2010.
In his junior year at USC in 2005, Bush amassed 16 rushing touchdowns on 1,740 yards in 13 games and 37 receptions for 478 yards. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints with the second overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. He played a total of 11 seasons in the NFL, amassing 5,490 yards rushing with 36 touchdowns, as well as 3,598 yards receiving with 18 touchdowns. Bush was a part of the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XLIV Champions, as well as a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2008.
