HOUSTON, Texas - PGA TOUR star Tony Finau, the most recent tournament champion, is committed to play in the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open.
The 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open is set for March 25-31 at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston.
Finau will look to hang onto his crown as he won the 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open in November 2022 by four strokes. He led the field in driving accuracy (39-of-52) and birdies with 22.
For his career, Finau has garnered six PGA TOUR wins and overall has 31 top five finishes. In addition to winning the 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open, Finau has won the 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta, the 2022 3M Open, the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic, the 2021 THE NORTHERN TRUST and his first career win came at the 2016 Puerto Rico Open at Coco Beach. He was a part of the 2019 and 2022 Presidents Cup teams, and the 2018 and 2020 Ryder Cup teams.
So far in 2024, Finau has competed in four tournaments, making the cut in all four. His highest finish of the season so far was at the Farmers Insurance Open on Jan. 27, 2024, where he finished tied for sixth after finishing 10 under.
