Colorado Rockies acquire right-handed pitcher Robert Stephenson and outfielder Jameson Hannah from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for right-handed pitcher Jeff Hoffman and right-hander Case Williams

DENVER – The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have acquired right-handed pitcher Robert Stephenson and Minor League outfielder Jameson Hannah from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for right-handed pitcher Jeff Hoffman and Minor League right-hander Case Williams.

• Stephenson, 27, made 10 relief appearances with the Reds in 2020 posting no record with a 9.90 ERA (10.0 IP, 11 ER), three walks and 13 strikeouts … made 57 relief appearances in 2019 and went 3-2 with a 3.76 ERA (64.2 IP, 27 ER), including a 1.38 ERA (26.0 IP, 4 ER) over his last 24 appearances from July 26 through the end of the season, the best among all National League relievers over that span (min. 26 IP) … in five seasons with the Reds, has gone 10-13 with a 5.15 ERA (208.0 IP, 119 ER), 111 walks and 222 strikeouts across 104 appearances (22 starts) … from 2014-2016 was rated by Baseball America as the top prospect in the Reds organization … has a career Minor League record of 45-50 with a 3.77 ERA (742.0 IP, 311 ER), 344 walks and 791 strikeouts … was originally selected by Cincinnati in the first round (27th overall) of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft out of Alhambra High School in Martinez, Calif.
