Royals partner with Tico Sports for Spanish-language broadcasts
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 2, 2021) – The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have partnered with Tico Sports to produce Spanish-language broadcasts for five games during the final five weeks of the season. The first will be tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 3 against the Chicago White Sox at 7:10 p.m. The games will be available on the MLB app, on Tico’s website (www.tico-sports.com/royalsespanol) in the Kansas City area, as well as on SiriusXM (channels listed below).
“We are excited to partner with Tico Sports and provide a professional, authentic, exciting Spanish broadcast for our Latino fans,” said Sarah Tourville, Royals Sr. VP-Chief Revenue and Innovation Officer. “We want to connect with the Latino community, and we thought this was a terrific step in the right direction.”
The Tico Sports Royals broadcast team will consist of Oscar Monterroso, executive producer; Hector Garcia, play-by-play; Kike Morales and Hannah Bassham, color analyst and reporter; and Stephanie Rodas, gameday producer.
