- Posted a slash line of .357/.455/1.000 with six runs scored, 10 hits, six home runs and 14 RBI over seven games played.
- Clubbed his fifth round-tripper in as many days yesterday against the Seattle Mariners, matching the longest such streak in franchise history (also Mike Sweeney in 2002).
- His home run yesterday was his 12th in the month of August, matching Chili Davis (August 1997) and John Mayberry (July 1975) for the Club record for any calendar month.
- Across games on Thursday-Friday, became the first Royals player to deliver grand slams in back-to-back contests. Became the third catcher in MLB history to accomplish the feat, joining Hall of Famers Mike Piazza (1998) and Bill Dickey (1937).
- Among AL players who appeared in at least 75% of their games behind the plate, Salvy’s 38 home runs thus far have already surpassed Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk’s 37-homer campaign in 1985 for the most among that group.
Tommy Edman, St. Louis Cardinals (@tommyedman)

August 24th at SD – Watch It Here
Outfielder AJ Pollock of the Los Angeles Dodgers earned his first career Play of the Week Award and is the Dodgers’ second winner this season, joining Mookie Betts (April 19th). Additional Play of the Week candidates included Andrew Benintendi’s leaping catch at the wall; Nolan Arenado’s diving stop and throw across the diamond from his knees; Myles Straw’s diving catch in shallow-center field; and Trent Grisham’s home run-robbing catch of Pollock on Thursday.
