PHOENIX --The Arizona Diamondbacks optioned RHP Stefan Crichton to Triple-A Reno following last night’s game. In addition, RHP Joey Krehbiel was outrighted to Reno. The D-backs’ 40-man roster remains at 40.
Crichton, 27, has posted a 3.24 ERA (6 ER in 16.2 IP), .169 opponent average, 15 strikeouts and 5 walks in 13 appearances for the D-backs this season.
Krehbiel, 26, is 1-4 with an 8.25 ERA (48 ER in 52.1 IP) in 41 games with Reno this season. He was designated for assignment on July 31.
