Texas Rangers Announce Vinyl Night

Unique Theme Night offers fans a commemorative Rangers-themed Jack White Vinyl

August 15th, 2019

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced the addition of “Vinyl Night” at Globe Life Park on Friday, September 13th when the Rangers take on the Tampa Bay Rays.

Fans with a special ticket will take home a limited edition Rangers themed Jack White vinyl. The commemorative 7-inch vinyl features Jack White’s Battle Cry on one side, and an exclusive Rangers themed version of the song on the B-side.

The addition of Vinyl Night at Globe Life Park gives Rangers fans a unique commemorative item, combining Rangers history with Jack White’s legendary hit Battle Cry.

Twelve-time Grammy Award Winner and noted baseball fan, Jack White, released Battle Cry in 2017. All three of White’s solo albums have reached number one on the Billboard charts.

In celebrating the final season of Globe Life Park, the B-Side of the vinyl includes Texas Victory Calls Edit, featuring memorable calls throughout the history of the iconic ballpark. Calls include Mark Holtz’ call of Rusty Greer’s diving catch during Kenny Rogers perfect game on July 28, 1994 to Eric Nadel’s call of the final out against Detroit to clinch the 2011 American League Championship.

“I am thrilled to be on the B side of a Jack White Record! I am a huge admirer of Jack’s. I love his music, and love that he still plays baseball. This vinyl is really exciting for me,” Texas Rangers Hall of Fame Announcer Eric Nadel, who has several calls featured on the track, said.

The Texas Victory Calls Edit is only available through purchase of this special giveaway ticket. The limited edition mix isn’t available for digital download.

Starting today, fans can purchase tickets at texasrangers.com/vinyl. The first 1,500 fans who purchase a ticket through this designated link will receive the limited edition vinyl.

Fans must have a specially marked ticket to be eligible for the vinyl. Tickets must be purchased through texasrangers.com/vinyl to receive the vinyl.
