Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America’s independence with a variety of activations both inside and outside Globe Life Field ahead of the Saturday, July 4 game against the Detroit Tigers at Globe Life Field (3:05 p.m. CT first pitch).
Saturday’s festivities at the ballpark will include an attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the Largest Glass of Beer, a pre-game hot dog-eating contest, and more. A full timeline of Fourth of July activities at Globe Life Field can be found below (all listed times are Central Time).

TIMELINE – FOURTH OF JULY AT GLOBE LIFE FIELD
- 9:00 a.m.: World’s Largest Glass of Beer stein begins filling with Budweiser
- 11:00 a.m.: Budweiser pop-up bars begin service on North Plaza outside Globe Life Field and Texas Live!
- 1:30 p.m.: Ballpark gates open; First 10,000 fans receive America’s 250th Birthday Jersey presented by Coca-Cola
- 1:50 p.m. (approx.): Ceremonial final pour by Chuck Morgan and Guinness World Record proclamation
- 1:50 – 2:50 p.m.: Discounted $1.50 beers available on North Plaza in honor of Budweiser’s 150th anniversary
- 2:20 p.m.: Hot Dog-Eating Contest at Comerica Backyard
- 2:50 p.m.: National Anthem performance by *The Texas Tenors *
- 3:05 p.m.: First pitch vs. Detroit Tigers
Guinness World Record for Largest Glass of Beer: The Rangers will partner with Budweiser to attempt the Guinness World Record for the Largest Glass of Beer in recorded history on Saturday. A 12-foot-tall, 600-gallon glass beer stein will be constructed on the North Plaza near Texas Live! and begin filling from the bottom with Budweiser’s classic American lager at 9:00 a.m. CT on Saturday. The stein is expected to be filled completely at approximately 1:50 p.m. CT, at which point a representative from Guinness World Records will verify it as a world record held by the Texas Rangers & Budweiser.
$1.50 Beers at North Plaza: Beginning at 11:00 a.m. CT on the North Plaza, fans will have the opportunity to purchase Anheuser-Busch products at outdoor pop-up bars, create custom baseball cards, and enjoy music curated by a live DJ. Rangers Hall of Fame Public Address Announcer, Chuck Morgan, will serve as master of ceremonies throughout the afternoon. These pop-up bars will serve discounted $1.50 beers from 1:50 – 2:50 p.m. CT in honor of Budweiser’s 150th anniversary.
Free Merchandise: Spectators (age 21+ only) who visit the North Plaza on Saturday will have a chance to receive free merchandise commemorating the event, including Budweiser-branded rally towels, cups, and button pins.
America’s 250th Birthday Jersey: The first 10,000 fans in attendance of Saturday afternoon’s game will receive a limited-edition America’s 250th Birthday Jersey presented by Coca-Cola.
Hot Dog-Eating Contest: Eight Rangers fans will compete in a pre-game hot dog-eating contest at the Comerica Backyard in centerfield at approximately 2:20 p.m. CT.
Budweiser Sky Porch Pregame Happy Hour: Fans can also enjoy discounted Anheuser-Busch beers ($4.49) at the Budweiser Sky Porch, which is located on the upper concourse in left field, from 1:30 p.m. CT until first pitch.
National Anthem: Saturday’s rendition of the National Anthem will be performed by three-time Emmy Award-winning vocal group, The Texas Tenors. A giant, United States of America-shaped version of the U.S. flag will be unfurled on-field during the singing of The Star-Spangled Banner.
Handheld Flags: All fans in attendance of Saturday’s game will receive a handheld version of the United States flag.
