As part of the Chase Your Dreams High School Baseball and Softball initiatives, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and Chase are teaming up in a big way to support the Laveen Baseball Classic, an annual baseball tournament organized by Cesar Chavez High School.
In 2023, with support from the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and Chase, the tournament will be branded the D-backs Chase Your Dreams Baseball Classic. The tournament will feature 16 teams with over 80% of them having previously benefitted from the D-backs Chase Your Dreams Grant Program presented by Chase. The event will also feature participants in the Arizona Diamondbacks RBI Program.
The D-backs Chase Your Dreams Baseball Classic provides selected schools and student-athletes an opportunity to compete and hone their baseball skills in preparation for the high school baseball season. The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and Chase are enhancing the event with the addition of branded t-shirts for each participant, D-backs game tickets, Chase Your Dreams tournament trophy, Champions T-shirts, Skills Challenge and more. The winning team will receive their Chase Your Dreams Baseball Classic trophy at the Championship Game and will be invited to celebrate on the field before a D-backs regular season game at Chase Field!

About Chase Your Dreams
The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and Chase are proud to join forces to support high school baseball and softball programs in Arizona. Launched in 2015, the Chase Your Dreams program is a high school baseball and softball initiative designed to provide equipment and resources to high school baseball and softball programs across the state. To date, the program has supported 57 high school baseball and softball programs, with $430,000 in baseball and $435,000 in softball for a cumulative total of $865,000 before heading into 2023.
Last year’s recipients were both baseball and softball programs from the following schools - Agua Fria High School, Camelback High School, Central High School, Cesar Chavez HS, Desert View High School, Glendale High School, Marcos De Niza High School, Sunnyside High School, Superior Junior/Senior High School, and Westview High School.
Coaches, school administrators and/or authorized school representative(s) of Arizona high schools apply to receive up to $10,000 worth of equipment for baseball and softball programs each season. Applications for the 2023 season are closed and will open November 2023 for the 2024 season.
Each selected program will receive up to $10,000 worth of game or field maintenance equipment ($5,000 for baseball and $5,000 for softball). The program is open to all Arizona public, private, and nonprofit charter schools that provide classes for any Grade 9-12 and offer both baseball and softball activities to its students.
