MIAMI – It’s time to get moving as the greatest race in South Florida returns to loanDepot park! Schedule a lap around the bases (and the entire ballpark) with the Triple Play 5K on Saturday, December 16, a family-friendly event hosted by the Miami Marlins, Miami Marlins Foundation, and the University of Miami Health System (UHealth). The Triple Play 5K, which begins at 9 a.m. and also features a 1K route, is a fun, community gathering where guests will run or walk around and inside loanDepot park, with the final stretch taking place on the field! The best part is the runners choose which great cause their funds will go to in support of the University of Miami Health System research for brain and movement disorders. Romano, MD, Interim Chair of Department of Neurology, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. “Now in its 2nd year, the Triple Play 5k not only serves as an incredible platform to educate the public but also enables us to foster a sense of community, support, and empowerment for individuals and their families affected by neurological conditions. Together, we can inspire positive change and make a significant impact in advancing research leading to future cures."

The Triple Play 5K presented by UHealth accommodates runners, walkers, and competitors of all ages, providing a fun experience for all with proceeds benefiting UHealth research for brain health and mental wellness. Upon registering, guests can choose which of the following causes they would like their donation to benefit: ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) Research, Alzheimer’s Research, Mental Health, Parkinson’s Research, and Stroke Awareness.

Registration, which is $50 for adults ($35 for 1K race) and $35 for youth, includes a Triple Play 5K race shirt, a race medal, a donation to benefit the Miami Marlins Foundation and UHealth, and access to the West Plaza celebration zone.
