THREE LOCAL BUSINESSES HONORED AS 2023 ‘TWINS GAME CHANGERS’

Joi Unlimited, theNEWmpls and Patagonia Visual Solutions recognized as small, minority-owned businesses making a big difference by giving back

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins, along with broadcast and program partner Bally Sports North, are proud to recognize and celebrate the 2023 class of “Twins Game Changers”: Joi Unlimited (founded by Dr. Joi Lewis), theNEWmpls (founded by Chaz Sandifer) and Patagonia Visual Solutions (founded by Gustavo Rosso). The trio will be celebrated this evening at Target Field and will throw out ceremonial first pitches prior to tonight’s Twins vs. Pittsburgh Pirates game.

Now in its third year, the Twins Game Changers program highlights small (less than 25 employees), minority-owned Twins Territory businesses making a big difference by giving back. By using Twins and Bally Sports North platforms to highlight these founders’ stories of leadership and purpose, the hope is to inspire others.   • Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023, Joi Unlimited is a coaching and consulting firm specializing in conflict, crisis and change management. Dr. Joi Lewis and her staff promote transformation of self and systems through the process of the Orange Method (OM), sharing its four principles of meditation, mindfulness, emotional liberation and conscious movement to bring healing and radical self-care to the community. Joi Unlimited was born in 2013 from a call to address historic and present-day trauma, particularly around racial justice and Black liberation.
  • Chaz Sandifer is the CEO of theNEWmpls, Let Go Let Flow, Stories Behind the Menu and Lakeview Terrace Farmers Market, while she is the voice behind the “Fitness Revolution with Chaz” podcast. A change agent in the Twin Cities, she promotes racial health and equity through the lens of fitness, wellness and nutrition. She is transforming the health and racial equity of the communities she serves by offering programs that serve diverse populations throughout the Twin Cities. A certified group fitness instructor and Lifestyle Coach, Chaz’ work focuses on diabetes prevention, arthritis prevention and trauma healing.
  • In 2010, Gustavo Rosso founded Patagonia Visual Solutions, a local, Latino-owned visual and marketing solutions company specializing in emerging markets, particularly the Latino market. In the 13 years since, Patagonia has developed a strong reputation working with key Twin Cities clients to enhance their visual and marketing strategies. In 2020, Gustavo embarked another entrepreneurial venture and founded REPORTES365.com, a Spanish-language news website catering to Minnesota’s Spanish-speaking community. An active member in his community, Gustavo founded Futbol Fan MN, a free soccer camp for Twin Cities children aged 5-12.
