Twins announce starting lineup for DJ Series at Target Field

Some of the top musical talent from the Twin Cities and beyond to perform at each remaining home game of the 2021 season

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins today announced plans to highlight the unique sounds and voices of prominent local DJs at each remaining home game of the 2021 season at Target Field, beginning on Monday, August 9. The lineup of DJs that will entertain Twins fans before and during each game features some of the top musical talent from the Twin Cities and beyond.

Each featured DJ will perform from just inside Gate 34 at Target Field, beginning when gates open and at various points throughout the game. More information is available at twinsbaseball.com/djs.

“We are proud to partner with this diverse and talented group of musicians,” said Chris Iles, Senior Director of Brand Experience and Innovation for the Twins. “Our region is home to an internationally-recognized DJ scene, and we could not be more excited to bring their unique energy into the Target Field experience.”

The DJ lineup for the Twins’ upcoming, nine-game homestand from August 9-18 follows. Tickets for the nine-game homestand, along with the remainder of the Twins’ 2201 home schedule, are available and can be purchased at twinsbaseball.com, by using the MLB Ballpark app, by calling 612-33-TWINS or 800-33-TWINS, or in person at the Target Field Ticket Office.

Monday, August 9 vs. Chicago-AL (5:40 p.m. gates open; 7:10 p.m. first pitch): DJ Bonics (@DJBonics)

DJ Bonics is a Filipino-American, 22-year veteran DJ who has been heard on stations from New York to Los Angeles, and most recently on Minneapolis/St. Paul’s Go Radio. A two-time champion/finalist in the Red Bull 3Style World DJ Championship, Bonics has performed on stages all over the world as the official tour DJ for recording artist Wiz Khalifa. Currently a TV host for The CW Twin Cities, Bonics has been spotlighted for his community efforts in the region, which included a “10 Hoodie” donation drive benefitting those less fortunate.

DJ Advance has spent a decade bringing his trademark sound to events throughout the country, including memorable, one-of-a-kind events in the Twin Cities. In addition to being heard on Twin Cities-area radio, Advance has shared the stage with artists such as Rehab, Jennifer Lopez and J. Cole. Advance has performed locally at First Avenue, Xcel Energy Center and Target Center. He gives back to his community by hosting annual charity events.

Wednesday, August 11 vs. Chicago-AL (10:40 a.m. gates open; 12:10 p.m. first pitch): DJ Keezy (@DJKeezy612)

DJ Keezy, a North Minneapolis native, has been making waves for more than seven years while touring nationally and internationally. She is a curator of many dance nights within the Twin Cities for the BIPOC & LGBTQIA + community, including the first all-women and non-binary lineup dance party to hit First Avenue’s Mainroom in 2015. Keezy is also co-owner of “Aunties,” where she plans to continue breaking down barriers through the creation of the soon-to-be music venue centering on BIPOC women and BIPOC LGBTQIA+ people. 

Friday, August 13 vs. Tampa Bay (5:10 p.m. gates open; 7:10 p.m. first pitch): DJ D-Mil (@djdmil)

DJ D.Mil is a St. Paul native and is a true, all-encompassing legendary Minnesota DJ. With over 20 years of rocking dance floors, he also been heard on Twin Cities airwaves and has hosted several events, concerts, spring break tours and club dates nationally and internationally. He’s shared stages with Snoop Dogg, Akon, DMX, Backstreet Boys, Rick Ross, Diddy and countless others. D.Mil has most recently been featured on FOX Sports’ Premier Boxing Champions as the resident DJ.

Saturday, August 14 vs. Tampa Bay (4:10 p.m. gates open; 6:10 p.m. first pitch): DJ Skee (@DJSkee)

DJ Skee built an empire by consistently identifying the next trends in music and culture first. As a DJ, Skee is best known for introducing the world to artists including Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and more on his TV and radio platforms. Skee has produced for defining artists of this era, ranging from Snoop Dogg to Michael Jackson, and composed music for top-selling video game series like Halo and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon. Skee’s appearance at Target Field will feature a special project; more information to come.

Sunday, August 15 vs. Tampa Bay (11:10 a.m. gates open; 1:10 p.m. first pitch): Cristian Baca (@DjCristianBaca)

Mexico-born artist Cristian Baca is one of the top DJs, producers and event promoters in the state of Minnesota. With almost 10 years of professional DJ experience, Baca has made his presence heard in the local and regional scenes. From headlining the top venues in the Twin Cities, to sharing stages with the biggest DJs in the world, Baca continues to reach new heights in his career. His party Reventón is the premier Latinx event in Minnesota, and is set to debut at the First Avenue Mainroom in September. 

Monday, August 16 vs. Cleveland (5:40 p.m. gates open; 7:10 p.m. first pitch): DJ Ray Mills (@djRaymills)

DJ Ray Mills is a Minneapolis-based club, radio, and corporate DJ. Mills, who has worked as an official DJ of the Minnesota Vikings, has performed across the country, including 1OAK Las Vegas, Club Los Globos in Los Angeles and Club Red in Phoenix, and internationally in Mexico. Mills has supported artists such as Migos, French Montana, Cardi B, 50 Cent, Future, 2 Chainz, Nelly and T.I., and was featured on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out Tour with Nick Cannon.

Tuesday, August 17 vs. Cleveland (5:40 p.m. gates open; 7:10pm first pitch): Sophia Eris (@SophiaEris)

Since 2012, Sophia Eris has gone from a solo performer, to an international touring DJ with three-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist Lizzo, and a morning show host. She’s released her own solo album, was featured on the soundtrack for the 2017 “Power Rangers” movie and collaborated with the late Prince. Eris has performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, while she has also made appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” She is in the process of creating an all-Black women-owned performance venue called “Aunties” and will also focus on career development within the arts for youth.

Wednesday, August 18 vs. Cleveland (10:40 a.m. gates open; 12:10 p.m. first pitch): DJ Espada (@djespada)

DJ Espada (aka Damien Vasquez) has been a mainstay in the Twin Cities DJ community for more than 10 years. He came up with some of the Twin Cities’ most notable hip hop artists and has been a part of some of Minneapolis' most successful and respected hip hop parties. Espada has been heard across the country, including the SXSW Music Conference in Austin and the Soundset Music Festival.
