MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they have placed outfielder Joey Gallo on the 10-day Injured List with a right intercostal strain (retroactive to April 8).
Gallo has missed the Twins’ last three games with the injury, after being removed from the game in the sixth inning on April 7 vs. Houston. He has hit .278 (5-for-18) with one double, three home runs, seven RBI, four runs scored and a 1.183 OPS in seven games for the Twins this season.
The Twins will make a corresponding move to fill Gallo’s 26-man roster spot prior to tomorrow’s series finale against the Chicago White Sox.
