Twins place Trevor Megill on 15-day Injured List
Aaron Sanchez contract selected; Kyle Garlick transferred to 60-day IL

CHICAGO, IL – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Trevor Megill on the 15-day Injured List with a left oblique strain.
Megill appeared in 39 games for the Twins this season, going 4-3 with a 4.80 ERA (45.0 IP, 24 ER), 17 walks and 49 strikeouts.
To replace Megill on the 28-man roster, the Twins have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Aaron Sanchez. Sanchez has appeared in seven games (3 starts) for the Twins this season, going 0-1 with a 4.00 ERA (27.0 IP, 12 ER), seven walks and 25 strikeouts.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Twins have transferred outfielder Kyle Garlick (left wrist sprain) to the 60-day Injured List.
