Two-time champion Mookie Betts to serve as World Series correspondent for Game 3 in Phoenix

Brewers Shortstop Willy Adames Provides Player Coverage for Las Mayores

October 30th, 2023

Major League Baseball announced that Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts will serve as a World Series correspondent during the 2023 World Series Presented by Capital One.

The two-time World Series Champion and seven-time All-Star will attend Game 3 in Phoenix, where he will provide content and provide behind the scenes access to the Fall Classic across MLB platforms and social media takeovers.

Betts will connect with friends, coaches and players in this year’s World Series during pregame and postgame interviews, talk to personalities and celebrities in attendance, make appearances on MLB Network, and provide insights to the matchup and mindset as a two-time world champion.

Additionally, Brewers shortstop Willy Adames will work closely with Las Mayores and MLB for player-first coverage for Games 3 and 4. The Dominican infielder will do interviews and takeovers in Spanish and English with the top players and coaches on the Rangers and Diamondbacks as the Series shifts to the desert.

Recently Betts has bolstered his off-the-field, getting more personally involved in media and content ventures. Earlier this year, he launched a video and podcast series dubbed “On Base with Mookie Betts” with Bleacher Report. The series features Betts interviewing current MLB players, focusing on their lives on and off the field. Betts is also an executive producer under his media company One Marketing Group (OMG), where he develops scripted and unscripted film, TV and podcast projects. He introduced his new YouTube channel in February, where fans can get an inside looks at his baseball career, while also getting a glimpse into his home life and personal passions such as his philanthropic work through his 50/50 Foundation, benefitting underprivileged children. Betts is also an accomplished professional bowler.

Already one of the premier players in the game, both offensively and defensively, Betts had an incredible second half to vault himself into the NL MVP conversation. Betts had his best offensive campaign since he was named AL MVP while with the Red Sox in 2018, posting a .307/.408/.579 slash line to go along with a career-high 39 homers, 107 RBIs and 126 runs scored.
