Major League Baseball today announced the Major League Umpires who have been assigned to the 2025 American League and National League Championship Series presented by loanDepot. Alfonso Márquez will serve as the crew chief for the ALCS, which begins Sunday between the host Toronto Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners with first pitch at 8:03 p.m. (ET) on FOX and FOX Deportes. James Hoye will be the crew chief for the NLCS, which begins on Monday featuring the host Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers, with first pitch at 8:08 p.m. (ET)/7:08 p.m. (CT) on TBS, truTV and HBO Max.
Márquez’s crew for the ALCS features Ryan Additon, regular season crew chiefs Doug Eddings and Marvin Hudson, Ben May, D.J. Reyburn and Quinn Wolcott. Hoye’s crew for the NLCS includes Adam Beck, regular season crew chief Vic Carapazza, Chad Fairchild, John Libka, Gabe Morales and Mark Ripperger. Four umpires are scheduled to make their LCS on-field debuts in 2025; Additon and May in the ALCS, and Beck and Libka in the NLCS.
Hudson will serve as the crew chief in Game Three of the ALCS and Carapazza will serve as crew chief in Game Two of the NLCS when the assigned crew chief is off the field. Placing seven umpires on each LCS crew allows for distinct home plate assignments in a potential seven-game series, with one umpire off the field in each game. Major League Umpires Alex MacKay, regular season crew chief Bill Miller and David Rackley have been assigned to Replay throughout the LCS. FOX or FS1 will combine with FOX Deportes and the FOX Sports App to cover the ALCS, while TNT Sports will simulcast the NLCS on TBS, truTV and HBO MAX. All Postseason games telecast on FOX/FS1 and TNT Sports platforms will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider. ESPN Radio will also provide live national coverage of all 2025 MLB Postseason games. MLB Network will air extensive studio coverage throughout the Postseason across the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, the Emmy-nominated MLB Central, MLB Now and Intentional Talk.
In addition to ALCS coverage on FOX Deportes, 2025 NLCS games will be telecast in Spanish on the Univision networks, while Univision Radio will continue to provide live Spanish language audio coverage throughout the Postseason. The 2025 Postseason will be broadcast to 203 countries by 44 media partners in 16 languages around the globe.
