BOSTON, MA- The Wasabi Fenway Bowl, an annual college football bowl game, will return to Fenway Park on December 28 at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN featuring teams from the American Athletic Conference (AAC) and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The annual match is in collaboration with ESPN Events.

“We are thrilled to bring the energy of college football back to Fenway Park this December,” said Brett Miller, Director of Business Development and Executive Director of the Wasabi Fenway Bowl. “Last year’s inaugural bowl game created an unforgettable experience for players and fans alike, and we are proud to activate this legendary venue for a second year as we continue to build new traditions and memories on the gridiron.”

The 2023 Wasabi Fenway Bowl will mark the second college football bowl game to be played at Fenway Park, following last year’s inaugural bowl matchup between the Louisville Cardinals and Cincinnati Bearcats. Teams playing in the 2023 Wasabi Fenway Bowl will be determined by regular season win-loss record, geographic proximity, as well as previous appearances and matchups. FSM and ESPN Events will jointly produce the game, pending final city licensing approval, which will be televised on ESPN. Information on tickets to the game will be announced at a later date.

“The Wasabi Fenway Bowl provides one of the most unique experiences in all of college sports,” said Michael Welts, chief marketing officer at Wasabi Technologies and a member of the Wasabi Fenway Bowl Executive Committee. “Now in its second year under the iconic backdrop of Fenway Park, the game continues to grow into a memorable tradition that brings college football to New England while also advancing its philanthropic mission of equitable education for years to come.”
