CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on a one-year, $750,000 contract with right-handed pitcher Matt Foster, avoiding arbitration. 

Foster, 28, missed the entire 2023 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April. He has gone 9-4 with a 4.39 ERA (55 ER/112.2 IP) and 113 strikeouts over three major-league seasons (2020-22), all with the White Sox. 

All remaining unsigned players on the White Sox 40-man roster have been tendered contracts for the 2024 season.
