CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox today announced the initial 16-player taxi squad roster that will work out at Boomers Stadium in suburban Schaumburg, Ill. Workouts at the home of the Schaumburg Boomers will begin tomorrow.
Below is a breakdown of the 16-player roster:
• Right-Handed Pitchers (7): Zack Burdi, Ryan Burr, Matt Foster, Brady Lail, Alex McRae, Bryan Mitchell and Jonathan Stiever;
• Left-Handed Pitchers (5): Garrett Crochet, Bernardo Flores Jr., Jacob Lindgren, Adalberto Mejía and Bennett Sousa;
• Catchers (1): Seby Zavala;
• Outfielders (3): Micker Adolfo, Luis González and Blake Rutherford.
The White Sox will have 59 total players working out as part of Summer Camp: 43 in Chicago and 16 in Schaumburg.
Workouts at Boomers Stadium will be closed to the public and open to the media only when specified by the White Sox.
